Use it all the time and have tried a variety of drinks from this machine Easy to use / lovely hot drinks / love the style and the colour Ruby red. 21 May 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not designed by someone who makes coffee often. Bought this as a replacement for another much loved Bosch model. Wished I hadn't. The Joy is much bigger than my previous model and so takes up more space on the worktop. To refill the water tank it has to be taken off at at angle (my previous machine I didn't have to move the unit as I could refill from the top) which means the whole machine has to be moved forward. The power cord is quite short so moving the unit on the worktop is not easy and the whole business is made worse by having a whole load of plastic in the water tank (filter and filter holder) so very much reducing capacity. Finally the clip that closes the pod catch is chrome and has to be polished everytime it is used. It's a classic of good looking but impractical design. I would expect better from Bosch. 06 May 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Onto my 5th Tassimo machine in 2 years! When this 'Joy' is working it is a wonderfully simple way of making great tasting coffee. On the positive side, the Tassimo seems to have the widest range of pods and most I have tried have been very nice: Costa, Kenco, Cadburys, flavoured teas. BUT: (1) The coffee pods are ridiculously expensive unless bought in bulk when Costco have a special offer running. Supermarkets also have special reductions fairly regularly. So stock up! (2) Cappacino and Oreo pods only deliver 1/2 a cup of coffee or hot chocolate at best. I get around this problem by running the 'empty' milk pod through for a 2nd time to make up the full cup. This also reduces the sweetness of the Oreo. At least the vanilla or caramel flavoured lattes deliver a full cup. (3) Bosch descaler tablets are not sold anywhere locally. Must be bought online. I did so and got caustic burns on my hands. The Bosch tablets arrived crushed and the plastic wrappers had burst! So wear gloves when handling out of the delivery envelope! (4) I'm onto my 5th Tassimo machine!! The first 2 were from a seemingly 'dodgy batch' and wouldn't work properly out of the box. So I switched to the 'Joy'. These machines have only lasted about 6 months at best before being returned under guarantee. I 'double filter' the water by only adding water from a Brita filter jug. That water then passes through the inbuilt Brita filter. As Bosch descaler tablets are not sold anywhere locally, I used the descaler I have used for years on kettles & coffee machines alike. But if the descaler light comes on, it has proved impossible to turn it off no matter how many descaling sessions I had. Designing a machine which only works with Bosch descaling tablets is daft unless Bosch persuade retailers to sell its expensive descaler tablets alongside machines and pods. To conclude, I've persevered with Tassimo coffee makers despite many reasons & opportunities to switch to something else. At the end of the day, it's about the coffee and drinks which the machine delivers. For that it's still the best option around. Just make sure you run a descaler once a month to avoid the warning light coming on! 29 March 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent product - really poor after sales I will be surprised if this gets published considering I just received an email informing me that my previous review didn't meet the criteria. Anyway, the coffee machine is amazing, I love it. However, the after sales service is really poor. I sent an email to the support team through t he contact page, only to receive a prompt reply telling me I had to call. I then rang the number where the automated voice told me to contact them through the website. 75 minutes later of hearing the same advice, I was cutoff. Still, when my machine was running it produced amazing coffee. 08 March 2016
